Welcome Back!

To catch up, and in order of importance!

I got retrenched from work. Unemployment is a scary place to be. Coming to terms with the fact that you have nowhere to go every morning and no way to meet your commitments in the future is terrifying.

I found a job! A month later, which I love! Huge sigh of relief!

We bought a house! An actual house! Not an apartment, not a townhouse – an actual freestanding house (well, more cottage) with a garden (well, front garden) – of our own! We are almost HOME OWNERS! Scary. 31 August is Moving Day – Brace yourself for countless posts about home décor and general DIY love.

Because of this purchase – we have decided to postpone the wedding for a year *phew*.  Note the change in the count-down clock and general relaxation with regard to wedding planning.

And that in a nutshell is what I’ve been up to for the past five months. So welcome back! From me to me.
